First AI restoration — a turning point

In the spring of 2024 we conducted a series of experiments with AI models for colourisation and super-resolution (DDColor, Clarity-SR). We worked on private family photo collections. The experience showed that traditional studio restoration costs hundreds of zlotys per item — AI can reduce that threshold tenfold. From these first attempts emerged initiative I·03 (AI Reconstruction Laboratory).
