Map of Polish Wooden Heritage
I·05 · Dimension of Wood · Open for collaboration
Before the last wooden mill disappears — we will record it to the millimetre.
Fire, rot and demolition do not ask whether a building is on the heritage register. We start with the ones that are not.
Problem
Wooden churches, Orthodox tserkvas, cottages, mills and windmills are vanishing from the landscape. Conservation inventories are slow and cover mostly registered monuments. The rest is lost.
